■ロックンロールの開拓者のひとり、バディ・ホリー。22歳の時に飛行機事故で亡くなったので活躍した時代も短かかったが、ビートルズ、ローリングストーンズ等、60年～70年代のロックバンドにも多くの影響を与えた。本作は1959年と1960年にコーラル・レーベルから発売された「The Buddy Holly Story, Vol. I & II.」からの音源。6曲のボーナストラック入り。バディの死からすでに60年近く経つが、そのサウンドは今でも新鮮である。
